Well done to our students, families and staff on a dynamic Term 1!
We are mindful of how busy life is for families and always aiming for balance in our school curriculum and calendar, but wow! didn't our students have some wonderful opportunities for learning in the last ten weeks!!
We were joined by 7 enthusiastic Kinders. The term was quickly filled with swimming carnivals, dynamic professional learning for teachers, engaging excursions including National Young Leaders Day in Brisbane, marine studies at Flat Rock and the ever popular Spaghetti Circus days. Our commitment to supporting our community continued through Federal Film Night catering, Harmony Day celebrations and Story Dogs program. Along the way we also raised funds for Leukaemia Foundation with Funky Hair Day and Love Your Sister with a staff xxxxjar.
We hosted Mitch Hutchinson for 10 weeks this term for his final internship. Mr H spent his time in the K-2 room but his presence was enjoyed by all staff, parents and students. He is now fully qualified and we look forward to have him back again in an official capacity soon.
Staff will be undertaking professional learning on 26 April and students return Wednesday, 27 April, except for those students attending Sound of Music in Brisbane.
Happy days! Happy Holidays!!
