High potential and gifted education
Some students learn faster and more easily than others. These students may shine in creativity, thinking, leadership or sport.
At our school, we recognise and nurture these strengths early. We support advanced learners with great lessons and activities to help them grow and thrive.

Critical Thinking
At our school, technology is an integral part of student learning, with robotics offering a hands-on, engaging way to develop critical 21st-century skills. Through robotics, students gain practical experience in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) concepts, learning how to design, build, and program robots. This experiential learning approach fosters creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork, empowering students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts.
Our robotics program is embedded across the school, ensuring that students progressively build their skills and confidence. From introductory activities using simple robotics kits in early years to complex coding and engineering challenges in senior years, the curriculum is designed to be inclusive and scaffolded. Robotics also encourages collaboration and communication as students work in teams to troubleshoot and iterate on their designs, promoting social and emotional skills alongside technical knowledge.
By integrating robotics into our learning programs, we nurture students’ curiosity and resilience, preparing them not only for future careers in technology and innovation but also equipping them with transferable skills that are valuable across all areas of life and learning. Robotics stimulates a growth mindset, encouraging persistence and reflective practice, which align with the broader educational goals of our school to develop well-rounded, capable learners.
Sport
Our school promotes physical activity and teamwork through a comprehensive sports program that encourages all students to participate and develop their skills. Our in-school sport program provides regular opportunities for students to engage in a variety of physical activities, promoting fitness, coordination, and a healthy lifestyle.
We also host whole-school events such as our school sports carnival and whole-school swimming. Each year our students are thrilled to participate in the Valley of Small Schools (VoSS) combined Athletics, Cross Country, and Swimming Carnivals. These events foster school spirit, friendly competition, and community engagement among students in our own school and surrounding small schools.
In addition, we have utilised Sporting Schools Grants to offer diverse sporting experiences, including circus arts, tennis, touch football, and soccer. These opportunities enrich our sports program, allowing students to try new activities and develop a lifelong love of physical activity.
Creativity
Our school embraces creativity through a diverse range of programs and clubs designed to engage all students in artistic and hands-on activities. Our music program and guitar tuition provide students with opportunities to explore musical expression, develop their skills, and build confidence in performing and composing. These experiences foster creative thinking and encourage students to appreciate the artistry involved in music.
Beyond music, our gardening and cooking club invites students to engage with nature and nutrition in creative, practical ways. These clubs nurture curiosity and innovation as students experiment with growing plants and preparing food, connecting creativity with everyday life skills.
Additionally, our wide variety of creative arts clubs offers students the chance to explore many craft and movement-based activities such as knitting, weaving, woodwork, yoga, circus arts, ceramics, and printing. By providing these diverse opportunities, we ensure that all students can discover and develop their creative talents in supportive and stimulating environments, enriching their learning experience and personal growth.
